• Solution:  Create each web page on the fly based upon who is asking for it and all the information that you have about them

• Based upon a combination of databases of information and custom programs.

• Active Server Pages (ASP) is the Microsoft version

• Java Server Pages (JSP) is the version from Sun and others

• The user does not care which one.  He/she just gets HTML.

Allows mass customization of the user experience.
