HTML: Hypertext Markup Language
A very simple way and standard way of tagging text for display on computers of various types.
Lets each computer decide how to actually display it.
By design it contains little format information
Hypertext: Text that contains internal links to other chunks of text which can also be hypertext.
These links create a web of interlocking links that is powerful and very messy and hard to maintain.
Weaknesses: formatting and interactivity
